DUBAI – Venus Williams mengaku belum habis. Untuk itu, saudara kandung Serena berambisi mengakhiri puasa gelar Grand Slam selain Wimbledon.

Venus tercatat sebagai salah satu petenis tersukses di turnamen yang berlangsung di Inggris itu. Dia berhasil merengkuh lima gelar juara yakni 2000, 2001, 2205, 2007 dan 2008.

Sayang tahun lalu Venus gagal mempertahankan gelar juara. Petenis peringkat lima dunia itu harus mengakui keunggulan sang adik Serena di babak final. Kekalahan itu membuat banyak kalangan menilai karir Venus telah habis.

Namun Venus mencoba memastikan bahwa hasrat bertandingnya belum habis. “Saya ingin meraih kesuksesan di setiap turnamen yang saya ikuti. Itu adalah ambisi saya mengikuti setiap even,” tegas Venus

“Jadi, tidak memenangi gelar juara Grand Slam selain Wimbledon jelas mengganggu saya. Saya ingin menjadi juara dan itu adalah target saya di setiap turnamen,” tandas petenis asal Amerika itu dilansir yahoosport, Senin (15/2/2010).

Meski sempat mengalami cedera lutut, namun hal tersebut tidak menghalangi ambisi Venus mempertahankan gelar juara di Dubai Open. Dia ingin memperlihatkan kualitas yang dimilikinya.

“Saya tidak membiarkan rasa lapar kemenangan itu hilang. Saya selalu coba terus meningkatkan permainan. Jika, saya permainan saya sudah mentok, maka itulah momen buat saya menggantung raket,” tukasnya.

Saat ini Venus tengah mencoba mempertahankan gelar WTA Dubai Open 2010. Petenis kualifikasi Sabine Lisicki menjadi lawan perdana petenis 29 tahun itu.

Maintenance sendiri kerusakan pada PC
Menyalakan atau me-restart komputer, tapi komputer hanya menampilkan error ketika mencoba masuk ke Windows adalah hal yang menjengkelkan. Artikel ini mungkin bisa membantu mengatasinya.


Ketika komputer startup, dan ternyata tidak mau masuk ke Windows dengan error seperti 'dll not found' atau mungkin menampilkan 'blue screen' bisa disebabkan oleh banyak hal, antara lain:


1. Sistem operasi Windows ada file yang secara tidak sengaja terhapus
2. Ada virus, spyware atau trojan yang ikutan 'loading' ketika komputer startup
3. Ada file (driver) rusak yang rusak, dan ketika dibaca oleh Windows gagal
4. Ada kerusakan pada hardware, terutama pada memori komputer atau harddisk
5. Sistem operasi Windows rusak atau belum selesai diinstalasi
6. Ada setting BIOS yang di-setting tidak benar atau baru diubah


Cara mengecek dan mengatasinya adalah:

1. Startup dengan menggunakan metode 'safe mode' (tekan F5 ketika komputer pertama kali mau masuk ke Windows, lalu pilih 'safe mode'). Kalau komputer berhasil masuk ke Windows berarti ada 'loading' yang tidak bisa dibaca oleh Windows secara benar. Matikan 'loading' tersebut dengan menggunakan perintah 'msconfig' pada bagian startup (panggilnya di start>run>msconfig)

2. Kalau komputer tidak bisa masuk ke Windows, cara termudah adalah repair Windows. Caranya adalah masukkan CD instalasi Windows, terus ubah BIOS untuk startup lewat CD/DVD-ROM, setelah instalasi masuk ke bagian install Windows, pilihan opsi repair Windows. Kamu bisa menginstall ulang Windows ke folder baru atau menformat harddisk bila ternyata repair Windows gagal.

3. Pastikan dahulu kamu tidak ada mengubah setting BIOS sebelumnya, kalau ada kamu sebaiknya mengembalikannya seperti semula, kalau lupa sebaiknya pilih opsi 'Loading BIOS default'.

4. Bila langkah-langkah di atas gagal semua, kemungkinan ada kerusakan pada hardware kamu. Kerusakan pada umumnya terletak pada memori dan harddisk. VGA dan mainboard mungkin juga bisa rusak, tapi kemungkinannya sangat kecil.

catatan: Kerusakan driver VGA card bisa juga menyebabkan Windows tidak bisa masuk. Kamu harus startup di 'safe mode' lalu uninstall driver VGA yang rusak dahulu, dan baru install kembali driver VGA yang benar ketika masuk ke Windows secara normal.

BEIJING - China menegaskan pertemuan antara Presiden Barack Obama dan tokoh agama Dalai Lama, dapat merusak kepercayaan antara kedua belah negara. Sebelumnya sudah terjadi karena penentangan penjualan senjata ke Taiwan.

Wakil Menteri Departemen Persatuan Barisan Kerja Partai Komunis China Zhu Weiqun menyatakan, pemerintahannya menentang adanya pertemuan tersebut. Pasalnya, Dalai Lama dianggap sebagai pemimpin Tibet yang dianggap Beijing sebagai separatis yang berbahaya.

"Jika nantinya hal itu terjadi, maka China akan menentang pertemuan tersebut," ujar Zhu, yang mengurusi kebijakan menyangkut keagamaan dan permasalahan etnis, dalam sebuah konferensi pers seperti dikutip dari thestar.com, Selasa (2/1/2010).

Kabar yang beredar menyebutkan, Obama akan menemui pemimpin spiritualis Budha itu, ketika ia berkunjung ke Amerika pada bulan depan. Gedung Putih sendiri belum menginformasikan akan adanya pertemuan tersebut.

Walaupun hanya pertemuan secara simbolis antara pemimpin AS dengan Dalai Lama, tapi tampaknya hal tersebut dapat menyulut kemarahan pemerintahan China. Di mana sebelumnya bermasalah dengan adanya penjualan senjata ke Taiwan.

China selalu melakukan pertentangan menyangkut pertemuan Dalai Lama dengan beberapa pemimpin negara, khususnye ketika kekerasan menyeruak di wilayah Tibet pada Maret 2008.

Sebelumnya, Dalai Lama sempat melontarkan wacana menyenai otonomi yang luas bagi wilayahnya, hingga akhirnya ia melarikan diri pada tahun 1959.

Sementara Pemerintah China berpendapat jika wacana yang digulirkan Dalai dapat memicu terjadinya permintaan kemerdekaan. China baru-baru ini menyelenggarakan pertemuan dengan Dalai Lama, akan tetapi pertemuan tersebut tidak menghasilkan apapun bagi kedua belah pihak.(rhs)
